Changes to the University Hot Work Program effective 07/01/2025
The University Hot Work Committee has recently revised the University of Iowa Hot Work Policy, incorporating four significant updates. The University Hot Work Program requires those who engage in Hot Work operations to comply with University policy. This program applies to all University faculty, staff, students, vendors, or contractors performing Hot Work on behalf of the University of Iowa and all University of Iowa facilities, including University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC). If you need additional blank Hot Work Permits, please contact Risk Management (risk-management@uiowa.edu).

Instructions for Accessing FM Training

1. If you do not already have an FM Global Training Center account:
You should create one using the registration form below:
https://www.fm.com/training-register
When the form asks for an FM account number, they should enter 15028.

2. If you already have an FM Global Training Center account:
You do not need to use the FM account number.
You can log in with their existing email address and password here:
